From the canals of Giethoorn to cooking over a wood fire! After coffee or tea with a treat, the skipper takes you on a one-hour boat tour through the historic village centre. Then you cycle through the surrounding area with a packed lunch for the journey. You end the day with an open-air cookery workshop. In small groups you prepare a four-course dinner in cast-iron Dutch ovens, with cake from the fire to finish.

Welcome in Giethoorn
This wonderful outdoor day starts with coffee/tea and a treat in our atmospheric restaurant, about 300 metres from the historic village centre and with a large car park nearby. You also receive a packed lunch here.
Giethoorn boat tour
Discover Giethoorn and its surroundings from the water. A one-hour boat tour with a skipper and guide through the historic centre of atmospheric Giethoorn with its thatched roofs, narrow canals and high bridges.
Cycle tour
The bicycles are ready for a lovely ride through the area. Various cycle routes are available, or you can use the ANWB cycle junction planner, for example.
Cookery workshop with 4-course dinner
An adventurously delicious open-air cookery workshop, given in a fun, accessible and hospitable way. The view is of passing boats on one side and the Weerribben-Wieden National Park on the other. The focus of this roughly four-hour cookery workshop is on cooking with Dutch ovens. Participants get to know different kinds of cast-iron pans and learn the technique of cooking over a wood fire and with briquettes. In small groups a delicious meal is prepared. Each group cooks one or two dishes, so that a complete menu emerges with a starter, main course and dessert. The workshop ends at around 19:00 with coffee, tea and cake from the fire. The cookery workshop includes coffee, tea and soft drinks. Radler 0.0 and alcoholic drinks such as beer and wine are not included and are paid for on site.
